Professional Profile
Mukundane Hope is a visionary social entrepreneur and financial inclusion advocate dedicated to empowering youth, women, and marginalized communities through entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and social enterprise.
With over five years of experience in business development, financial training, and nonprofit leadership, Hope has spearheaded initiatives that provide access to financial services, skills training, and economic empowerment programs for underserved populations.
Her passion for economic inclusion and financial independence led her to establish Esaara Microfinance Ltd, a financial institution offering installment-based land purchases and boda boda (motorcycle) loans, enabling youth and low-income earners to achieve financial stability.
As the Founder and Executive Director of Dependable Foundation Uganda, she leads a nonprofit organization supporting marginalized young women and adolescents, with a focus on rebuilding the broken walls around teenage mothers. Through this initiative, she works to provide education, vocational training, mentorship, and economic empowerment programs to help teenage mothers and vulnerable young women regain control of their futures.

Hope is an active advocate for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth).
As the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Cluster Head at the Uganda Youth Coalition for SDGs , she champions initiatives that equip youth with entrepreneurial skills, foster business innovation, and create sustainable economic opportunities.
In her role as Deputy Managing Director at Hastings Business Training Center Uganda, she contributes to business training, mentorship, and capacity-building programs for SMEs and young entrepreneurs.

For example, he's a mentor with Stanford University under the - Edx Entrepreneurship program 2023: Mentored 4 Refugees from Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi and South Sudan. Among other mentorship roles international. He's also a member of the advisory committee of Education African Scholars Global Connect. He's also our Co-director at Dependable Foundation and the regional coordinator for western Uganda at Uganda Youth Coalition for SDGs.
